INSTRUCTOR LED TRAINING
The Wow! moment in learning. You know the thrill.
It’s when you get it, grasp that elusive concept
or understand why a program behaves as it does. It’s
when you learn a cool new skill or a timesaving technique.
You’ll never need to call the Help Desk about
that concept. You’ll always remember it -- and
the brilliant, effervescent teacher who delivered that
Wow! and shared your joy.
That’s the core of the Devine training experience.
Our ace team of legal and technical experts provide
your users with a class of Wow! moments. Our greatest
pleasure is to enlighten. We do it with the efficiency
of our highly customized class outlines, years of experience
and sparkling personalities.
Our instructional model is based on the approach of
Stacy Gittleman, Vice President Training Technology,
whose legendary training style is straightforward, comprehensive
and fun.
OUR PEOPLE
We feature stars. Stacy Gittleman’s trainers
share her enthusiasm for technology and for teaching.
They are performers who capture a class with crackling
and memorable presentation and communication skills.
Their detailed technical knowledge and knowledge of
law firm business practices enables them to answer every
question, whether from secretaries, partners, associates,
word processors, administrative staff, training managers
or in-house trainers.
Our trainers bring an unmatched wealth of training experience
to every project. Most have been training at major national
and international law firms since the early 1990s and
this wide and varied background enables them to compare
functionality in the old software packages to the new.
How did you change to a new paragraph numbering system
in Word 97? This is how you do it in Word 2003.
The Devine Consulting Group trainers possess the intangibles
as well. Commitment means that if a partner has a vital
question at 5:30 PM, the floor support person will stay
to answer that question fully. Political savvy means
that we know how to escalate issues and how to support
all members of the team to the users. Our trainers understand
the need to present a unified, positive experience for
the firm. It all adds up to 110%.
OUR EXPERTISE
We bring a broad range of knowledge to migrations
and upgrades, including mastery of all third party integrated
packages including document management, macro automation,
contact management, e-mail, document clean-up, document
comparison. This knowledge includes product functionality,
integration with the word processor, as well as the
presence of any bugs and necessary workarounds. Our
experience and encyclopedic information greatly reduces
unwanted user surprises and help desk calls. Because
we work closely with third-party developers, we know
the issues before new packages are rolled out, helping
you to prepare your users.
TRAIN THE TRAINER
We give your trainers the highest level of end-user
and technical expertise. Our trainer classes focus on
what’s new in the program and how it affects your
third party programs. We also include detailed training
in end-user setup options, enabling you to understand
and design the best end-user environment for your firm.
We often partner with in-house training staff, working
with them to present clear and consistent instructions
to end users. We teach in-house trainers our training
outlines, which they use in class.
PILOT TRAINING
Excellent training for the Pilot group is crucial
to start the positive buzz in any major upgrade or conversion.
We understand that the composition of pilot classes
may be very different from typical end-user groups and
have designed training scenarios to fit all combinations
of users.
ATTORNEY TRAINING
We appreciate the special requirements of busy
attorneys and can hand tailor bite-size classes, efficiency
one-on-ones for partners, after or before hours training
and e-learning modules, giving them just the information
they need.
WORKSHOPS
We empower your end users by clarifying and polishing
their software skills with short, function-specific
workshops. These are customized to your firm’s
business needs and are based on our knowledge of those
functions which are most troublesome, as well as analysis
of floor support reports.
